Antelope Hill Variscite comes from a small hand dug mine in Esmeralda County, Nevada. We have to hike our tools in and carry the rock out, but for a small mine, it has been producing some amazing material! Everything from bright minty greens with deeper green water web and rich brown spiderweb to dark green with black web and midnight black with intricate starry night webbing. We're excited to bring you this new find! The name comes from the Pronghorn Antelope that seemed to tell us we were on the right path when we were prospecting. We saw it standing in the track as we approached the mine. As we drove, it kept stopping and looking back at us, as if to say, "This way! Come on!" We watched it all the way in, until it disappeared up a hill trotting right past the small hole we had started digging. We decided to stick with it (LOTS of shoveling lol!), and the stone we've been able to produce has been just amazing! We hope you enjoy these beautiful colors from the desert hills of Nevada! We give our thanks to the hills and to the antelope.
